Lark Elaine Turner
Lark is the Yanda god's girlfriend, so she lives a very unique existence. Maybe I shouldn't be telling the secrets. In
addition to being a green-eyed Germanic beauty, she's an internationally famous telepath, always working on the latest
war or peace agreement. Her friends in Russia got booted out of office recently, so she's not the powerhouse she was
in the earlier decades. But as world peace was her primary objective, it's not like she lost out completely. Most of her
life is about arranging the intergalactic biology that explains life on Earth. Most of her friends in her mind live in the
future in other galaxies. I could only follow her reasoning twice, when she decided to die and dream forever, and when
she got lonely and stole my life from the criminals on Earth and have me dream forever with her. That was done by the
Yanda. (See the Keith Laumer science fiction short story called Yanda.) I think there must be bad gods considering
how badly her life came out.
