THE MEMORY ENEMY PEOPLE
Before there was consciousness and matter, everyone knew that if the gods created matter, there would
be criminals in it. The plan was to trap criminal minds in human bodies, so they could be defeated by the
security devices designed into people. And to have a memory, you had to build an infinite computer,
otherwise everyone would be trapped in an endless present. People have a common memory, which
implies they have to agree not to alter the past at some point to remember. But it was discovered
examining this theoretically that there would be an enemy consciousness that would oppose this
ordering. So the military invented the computer and began targeting the "hypnotists", the people who act
against us in ordering the past. After they are all dead I can remember them, until then it all seems to be
a bad dream.
